Sports Entertainment fears Workrate!

So as I sit here at work on a Saturday I find myself having many many hours to reflect on my career if u could call it that and how I want to present myself in the world of professional wrestling. It's no secret that if u seen me wrestle on a show that to the casual fan I could seem boring and not too exciting. While it's true that I'm not the best show man ever, I think I make up for it with my wrestling. Now I know some people would say why would u care so much about the artform of wrestling if it's fake and if people wanted to see real fighting they ould watch the UFC.

And to that I'd say BULLSHIT!!! You see I'm not concerned with going out to the ring and spending most of the match pandering to the people in hopes that I can say something funny to get a rise out of them. I go out there so the casual on non wrestling fan in general can look at this sport as more than a hokey side show. I want the people to see my match and say damn that really did seem like a real fight. I try not to be stiff but I do try to be as snug as possible but as safe as possible. I'm a fan of the wrestling aspect of wrestling. That's what attracts me to this business. I never got behind a guy because he can talk, becuase quite frankly my favorite wrestlers are majorily guys who weren't the greatest stick men. Although it is true wrestling has it's roots in being a campy carny side show attraction the introduction of the "shooters" legitimized wrestling as a real tough man sport. Like even when u watch old tapes of guys like Gorilla Monsoon, Dirty Dick Slater, Harley Race, the Crusher and Dick the Bruiser these guys were tough guys who beat the shit out of one another. And for that the people really saw them as tough guys and badasses because when they went out there it seemed like they were looking to kill instead of winning a match. They looked to dissect body parts and hurt their opponents.

I know Kaos says that people love to feel like they're apart of the show and it's true I think they really do and I what I do is try to get them to suspend their belief that this is fake fighting. I don't think any of my trainers are steering me in a wrong direction. They really do have our best instrests in mind and for that I'm grateful. I guess in hindsight what I'm saying in this post is that I may not connect well with every fan on a show man level, but I put extra effort into making u guys witness a pure WRESTLING match that was entertaining based on the ring work and nothing else. I know there's a legion of people who love that style of wrestling dubbed "workrate" and that's what I'm trying to give u. No gimmicks no bs. Well I'm a wrestler so gimmicks are a given but still. So I say to you if you're looking for sports entertainment when u see me wrestle you're going to be in for a long night.
