So 2010 is here and 2009 is long gone. well four days gone anyways. I know its been awhile since the last time I wrote. But now as I reflect on 2009 it was a year of great highs and low low's. Starting out the year was the incredible debut show from EvoLucha on January 17th. I was fortunate enough to make my wrestling debut in the semi main event and go almost 20 mins with my arch nemesis Famous B. Looking back i thought the match was pretty good to say it was my debut. Then we returned to Newhall again on Valentines day which saw me take on The Mac. Ill be honest I was less than enthused when I found out who my opponent was for the show. But I was grateful that the powers that be looked to me to get a good match out of him. But the match wasnt as bad as i thought it would be but it still was probably the worst match of the night. A month later we returned with Luck of the Draw a St Patricks themed show. Which saw me team up with Loucha Machine to take on Famous B and Joey Rico Dynamite in a two out of three falls match. It was imo the match of the nightand the people dug it and so did we. We worked really hard in the match and i think it showed. April saw the return of HPW and I was fortunate to go from being in a battle royal to taking the place of Scott Lost in a match against Joey Rico Dynamite. The match itself wasnt bad. But it wasnt what we had hoped for. It was a long day that day for the both of us but we left it in the ring. April also saw us head into the world of Lucha Libre when a couple of us debuted in MWF which was really cool. We made our debuts on WrestleMania sunday and once again in a twist of irony it me vs Famous B in another 15 min match which was awesome. MWF was fun for the first couple weeks, but after facing the same opponents every week and u see the match quality isnt getting better it kind of makes you wanna not do this anymore. It really makes u say damn is it me thats bad or am i just not clicking with tis guy. Then came July and probably the lowest for me. The night before the return EvoLucha show I went to the ER with an insect bite right above the inside of my lower thigh and it was pretty nasty and hurt like a bitch. I couldnt walk or anything like that and i showed up to the show on crutches uncertain of what i was gonna do. I didnt know if I was going to be allowed to wrestle. The powers that be called me over and basically told me they didnt want me to do the show because of my leg. When i heard that I was fighting back tears imagining that there was apossibilty that I couldnt be on the show. I basically lied my ass off and said my leg was alright and it wasnt an issue. But in reality every move I did pained to me no end. Later i found out I actually developed a MRSA staph infection and i took a couple weeks off to heal up. After that I did XPW which was a blast i was in a pre show scramble match. I even managed to botch amove nasty style. I did a couple shows here and there later but not too many i just wanted to take the rest of the year off to get in better shape and to refocus on what i wanna accomplish in 2010. Imma treat this year more as my starting point and move forward. And to the Santino family im looking to come back fullforce the way i was this time last year balls to the wall. Thats pretty much it.
